![]() Yes, we do lots of meetings and phone calls when we need to. You don’t get to demand someone’s time and undivided attention instantly as you would in a meeting or phone call. But that’s one of the beauties of email: you get in line. A lot of people hate email because sending one is basically getting in line for the other person’s attention. “I have a chemo appointment, can I take that day off?” would be an absurd request in our culture.Ģ. How about sick time or mental health days? What if, as recently happened, someone on our team gets a life-changing diagnosis like cancer? It goes without saying that they can take all the time they need to take care of themselves and get better. ![]() Just schedule it and then communicate to the team when you will be out. In fact, you don’t even have to ask permission for when you can take your vacation time. ![]() If you need to take time off in the middle of the day to play chauffeur to your kids or take your ailing parent to a doctor’s appointment, not only can you do it-but you don’t even have to ask for permission. Here are three way that I, as a business owner, encourage my people to quietly quit every single day.ġ. It’s how companies thrive for the long term. Quiet quitting is not just how employees take back their lives. I advise young people to “show up five minutes early, leave five minutes late and care while you’re there.” This isn’t a strict rule of adding exactly ten minutes to your workday, but rather, being excited to make a difference at work, bringing your A-game and following through so that at the end of each day, you’ve hit your goals. He will finish you! As you fast and pray, determine that you will never quit God.Yes, I’m a fan of going above and beyond. Our God is not a quitter – He’s a finisher! Philippians 1:6 (NLT) says this, “ And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” God will never quit you. I am never going to quit living for Jesus.”Įven if all your life you’ve been a quitter, today is the time to remove the quit option once and for all. Instead, start thinking and speaking words that remove the quit option: “I am never going to quit. If you start talking about quitting, you will eventually quit. If you start thinking about quitting, you start talking about quitting. The determination to never give up needs to settle deep in your spirit, in your thoughts and in your words. When you set your mind on things above, you set your mind on Christ and His example. In the garden praying, Jesus could have called for angels to deliver Him from the cross. He was tempted to quit when he was fasting in the desert for 40 days. Jesus understands the temptation to quit. You overcome when you make up your mind that you are not turning back. You make every battle easier when you decide that there is no quit option. It doesn’t matter how strong you start if quitting is always an option. That’s when they start looking for ways to turn back. We will keep on having faith until we are saved.” We do not turn back! So many start out strong but somewhere along the way they encounter trouble. Hebrews 10:39 (CEV) says, “ We are not like those people who turn back and get destroyed. When you do that, the real battle is already won. The way to overcome is to totally remove the quit option. The enemy wants you to get to the point where you think you can’t take it anymore and you quit. The battle is not with your family or marriage, a financial problem, or an illness. But before you quit, you need to understand that the battle is not about what you’re facing. Life presents plenty of opportunities to quit. Have you ever felt like giving up and just throwing in the towel? Maybe you have grown tired of the battles and struggles.
